Oxford Technology Park announces Innovation Award Winner at the CBAs 2025

OTP is proud to announce Repolywise as the winner of the Innovation Award at the Cherwell Business Awards 2025.

Oxford Technolog Park (OTP) is proud to announce Repolywise as the winner of the Innovation Award at the Cherwell Business Awards 2025. The prestigious event took place at The Chesterton Hotel on Friday 19th September, celebrating outstanding achievements in business across the Cherwell District.

Repolywise is pioneering a new approach to plastic recycling by transforming unrecycled waste plastics into new materials. Its innovative “atomic scissors” process breaks down waste plastics into propane, their starting material, using a combination of heat, hydrogen, and a catalyst. The propane is then converted into new polypropylene plastic through dehydrogenation or gas cracking. Designed to address significant gaps in the current recycling market, Repolywise’s technology has proven effective across a wide range of waste plastics, representing a major step forward in sustainable materials innovation.

The Innovation Award, sponsored by OTP, recognises companies that are pushing boundaries and driving advancements in science and technology. Repolywise was selected from a competitive pool of finalists, including Oxeco and Zimbl, both showcased exceptional innovation.

Alex Lowdell from Ironstone Asset Management, the Investment Advisor to Life Science REIT and the proud owners of OTP, who presented the award on the evening, said:

“Innovation continues to be at the core of everything we do at OTP. It’s inspiring to celebrate businesses that are driving progress across the science and technology sectors. Repolywise truly reflects this ambition, and we look forward to seeing their ongoing success and contribution to the region’s innovation ecosystem and to the global challenge of plastic recycling.”
