Life Science REIT Signs Agreement for Nexus Café & Event Space at Oxford Technology Park

Life Science REIT has officially signed an agreement to launch Nexus, a new café and event space at Oxford Technology Park.

Life Science REIT has officially signed an agreement to launch Nexus, a new café and event space at Oxford Technology Park that will become the social and professional heart of the park. This exciting new amenity comes as part of a partnership with hospitality specialists, Gather & Gather.

Strategically located within the Innovation Quarter at the heart of the park, Nexus will offer 239 seats across indoor and outdoor dining areas, bringing together businesses, employees, and the wider community, fostering collaboration and connectivity, whilst offering high-quality, freshly prepared food and drinks, crafted from the finest seasonal ingredients.

Renowned for their bold and innovative approach to dining, Gather & Gather’s team of chefs, baristas, and nutritionists are dedicated to creating memorable experiences. Their mission is simple: to serve great-tasting food that not only delights but also supports well-being.

In addition to the café, Nexus will offer a 60-person event space that provides a valuable resource for occupiers to host meetings, company and industry events. This dynamic space will serve as a key venue within the park, providing a professional yet welcoming environment. Meeting spaces, external catering and food and drink orders will be easily accessible via OTPortal, the park’s dedicated occupier app.

Fit-out works for Nexus has commenced, with the café and event space expected to open in the autumn. Once complete, the space will provide a central hub for the park’s occupiers to meet, eat, and engage, further strengthening the park’s community atmosphere.

Ian Harris, Director of Asset Management at Ironstone Asset Management, the Investment Advisor to Life Science REIT and owners of Oxford Technology Park, commented:

“The signing of this agreement for Nexus Café & Event Space is a significant step forward for Oxford Technology Park. As the park continues to grow, it is vital that it offers high-quality amenities that not only serve the occupiers but also help create a stronger sense of community. We’re delighted to be partnering with Gather & Gather, and look forward to seeing Nexus become a central hub for collaboration, innovation, and connection across the park.”

Nathan Franks, Operations Director at Gather & Gather, added:

We are thrilled to be partnering with Oxford Technology Park on Nexus. Our mission is to deliver fresh, high-quality food and drink that enhances the daily experience of everyone at the park. Nexus will be more than just a café – it will be a place where people come together to enjoy great food, connect with others, and foster business relationships.”

The signing of the agreement for Nexus is a major step in the continued evolution of Oxford Technology Park, further enhancing its reputation as a leading destination for science and technology businesses.
