Oxford Technology Park charges forward with Green Initiatives

Furthering its commitment to environmental issues and meeting demand for more sustainable travel options, Oxford Technology Park has now installed 32 electric vehicle charging points, located by Building One and The Native Antigen Companies HQ.

The 32 EV charging points, add to the four already located at the park by the 101-bedroom hotel and restaurant with a planned 22 more to be added by the brand new Innovation Quarter by end of the year and a further 70 to the park over the next 12 to 18 months.

The installation of the high number of EV charging points is just one of the many ways in which Oxford Technology Park offers a rounded experience for its occupiers and ensures an ongoing commitment to environmental issues and sustainable travel options.

Lauren Bates, Developer and Head of Sustainability at Oxford Technology Park, said:

“Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Oxford Technology Park. It has been a key consideration to us since the inception and remains vitally important to our tenants. With this in mind, we strive to be the most sustainable science and technology location in Oxfordshire. Our occupiers are looking for more environmentally friendly means of travel and the use of electric vehicles is only going to increase. We want to help meet their needs – making it quick and easy to recharge vehicles and add to their high-end experience they receive at the park.”

Oxford Technology Park is a major new science and technology park providing the next generation of office, Research & Development, laboratory and production space at the heart of Oxfordshire’s Knowledge Economy spine. Extending over 20 acres and with planning consent for more than 400,000 sq.ft. of built space, Oxford Technology Park is destined to form an integral part of the city’s science and technology-based expansion to the North of Oxford.
