The Associate Director, Product Management, Reagent Components is responsible for the LGC’s reagent component line of business including antigens, antibodies, and virus like particles (The Native Antigen Company, KPL, and Virusys), Enzymes and Comp Cells (Biosearch).  This is a key position with direct oversight of the business’ current and future product and service offering to ensure business practices, budgets, timelines, and performance objectives are measured and met. Activities include portfolio management, segmentation strategy, communications, and thought leadership.

Develop a cohesive strategy for the engagement of internal (including corporate) and external stakeholders, key influencers and opinion leaders driving the business forward

Attend and present at major scientific and business meetings, keeping abreast of all relevant industry activities as well as scientific reports and findings.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a life science discipline. MBA or PhD preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the reagent component market
  • 7+ years of product management and marketing experience.
  • Strong history of successful global product launches.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and knowledge of regulations, including RUO, GMP, and ISO 13485
  • Proven management experience – a track record of having planned and delivered significant growth.

About the role

As a Lead RAMS Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all RAMS activities within the project. What you will do

About the role

This contractor role is required to assist with the delivery of complex projects. It provides technical project management of workload which is both outsourced as work packages and through internal development routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and demonstrable experience in managing outsourced projects. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

What you will do

  • General duties
    1. Working within the CAE team, supporting the wider CAE department.
    2. Working across a matrix structure, supporting project teams to fulfil customer requirements and deliverables.
    3. To be client-centric, interacting directly with internal and external customers. o    Working across a wide variety of projects, for diverse clients across a number of engineering sectors.
    4. Provide project pre-contract and kick off representation as well as being a main point of contact for simulation task delivery.
    5. To balance multiple concurrent projects and manage your own workload.
  • Identification and Management of Work Packages
    1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify project work packages requiring simulation support and work with the Chief Engineer (and Principals) to determine achievable routes to deliver, including outsourcing.
    2. Capture and document detailed work package scopes of work, requirements, specifications and project timelines.
    3. In collaboration with internal stakeholders and engineering functions, create packages of work for sharing with selected vendors.
  • Vendor Management
    1. Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate vendors for outsourced work packages in collaboration with procurement and other internal stakeholders.

About you

  • EXTENSIVE experience within engineering simulation including Stress (hand calc, Hyperworks Optistruct) and CFD (GT Suite and Star CCM)
  • Demonstrable experience in technical project management, preferably with a focus on managing outsourced work packages
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with analysis/development of battery modules, EV and power electronics is highly desirable

About the role

A key role to ensure the financial integrity and compliance of the Formula E team with cost cap regulations, whilst balancing this effectively with the goals and objectives of motorsport racing.

What you will do

  • Work closely with the Senior Finance Analyst and the Formula E team to ensure compliance with the cost cap regulations set forth by the FIA.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cost cap regulations and guidance, ensuring that all financial practices align with the governing body’s requirements.
  • Analyse team expenditure, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Prepare and maintain analytical reports on the current and projected cost cap position each season.
  • Support the budget and forecasting process for the Formula E projects, identifying ways to best track against cost cap requirements, identify issues and resolve them quickly.
  • Support the Formula E reporting process to ensure that financial actuals are up to date and accurate.
  • Support the FIA’s cost cap audit process.

About you

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, challenging norms and driving new ideas
  • Proficient with ERP systems and Excel interrogating data and unravelling transaction trails to problem solve
  • Be able to work accurately with exceptional attention to detail
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office software and strong computer skills

Any required Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and must be properly used in accordance with company requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY 

As part of our strategy for growth in the UK, we are expanding our Physics Department and recruiting an experimental Senior AMO Physicist to join our neutral atom quantum computing team. In this role, you will actively contribute to ongoing research projects and assist in the exploration of new concepts and approaches for future quantum computing systems. Working closely with a team of physicists and engineers, you will play a vital role in the collaborative efforts of the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Project Support  

  • Translate product requirements into atomic system designs.
  • Execute modelling, simulation, and analytical calculations to design systems required to meet product performance.
  • Design and execute testing and verification plans.
  • Integrate complex opto-mechanical systems, electronics, and software into quantum devices.
  • Perform technical tasks needed for the success of the project from equipment setup to system demonstration.
  • Identify materials and components to meet project requirements.
  • Document project progress and identify, track and resolve any project issues.

Team Collaboration  

  • Work collaboratively with team members against tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop commercial and non-commercial products and/or draft new quantum-led projects
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift based on project needs and technological advancements
  • Open to learning new techniques, integrating feedback, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to navigate ambiguity effectively
  • Ability to assess complex situations, adapt quickly, and make informed decisions under uncertainty

Stakeholder Engagement  

  • Contribute to external reports and publications, author/co-author papers, proposals, presentations and reports, give invited talks, attend project workshops and conferences.

Requirements

What you will bring to the team:  

  Technical Knowledge  

  • PhD in experimental atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics
  • Atom trapping using tightly focused laser beams
  • Rydberg physics and their interactions
  • Experience working with laser systems; optical design, alignment, and control
  • Working knowledge of control systems and signal processing
  • Proficiency in a programming language (e.g. Python)
  • Entrepreneurial drive, intellectual agility and personal eagerness to develop with the needs of the business.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff, both in writing and orally
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance.

Experience  

  • Demonstrable laboratory experience manipulating atoms, ions, or molecules with light
  • Proven track record of integrating complex hardware and software into systems
  • Understanding of ultra-high vacuum
